The Other Half Of Me
Joana M

Music
When Punk got smart 1978-1983 (Joy Division, The Clash, Gang of Four) and its revival, GY!BE and sorts, Buckley Jnr, Sufjan, The Institute of rock n roll, and the beats of a sole drum. Sounds pretentious, but I do like to hear some drumming.
Films
The works of David Lynch (minus Dune), Stanley Kubrick (minus half of Full Metal Jacket), 8 1/2 of Fellini, plenty of Bergman, some of Hitchcock, and that young Aronofsky.
Sports
yeah, right
Scared Of
you
With
Joana, until she realises my awful flower-consuming secret.
TV
Lost- why have you forsaken me? Three more series, finishing in 2010? So another three years of bypassing answers and giving us more and incresingly preposterous questions. It was fun while it lasted, but I think I'll be paying more attention to ...... Heroes- Season 3 looks great "These people.... are like 12 Sylars running free". I'm already terrified. Twin Peaks, The Prisoner, Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Simpsons etc. Weeds- It's getting darker and darker. U-Turn is just nasty.

finally got around to checking out flight of the conchords.... smiling from ear to ear :) cheers for the tip buddy

They're turning kids into slaves just to make cheaper sneakers.
But what's the real cost?
'Cause the sneakers don't seem that much cheaper.
Why are we still paying so much for sneakers
When you got them made by little slave kids
What are your overheads?

We are indeed. Although Lee has been up all night and is just winding down. So in view of the fact that he'll be sleeping within the next hour I don't think we can both meet up with you. I can definitely though, just let me know where and when :o)

Hey there, glad you enjoyed the party. Hope you had a great xmas, and that your new years was good. You missed out on funderland queasiness. My stomachs not as young as I think it is. I'm just not able for all that spinning anymore. The coaster and the big wheel were good though.

the only reason i gave intervention the nod over no cars go is cos i don't like the radio edit of the latter, it cuts out all the build up. but really, the arcade fire singles are interchangeable, it could just as easily be keep the car running in the old top 5 as intervention & no cars go, i just gave intervention the nod as when that single came out it got me so super excited for the album that i almost had a buzz-induced heart attack - which is, i suppose, what a crackin single is supposed to do. that animal collective album's really good, though fireworks & peacebone outshine everything else in my opinion. it's all pretty sweet, though it can get to be a bit barmy at times.

that's some hardcore partying - i'll get in touch with you re my scene, but sure if not tonight maybe i'll see you the other side of christmas, and at the very least at the figos i imagine.

ok, after an embarrassing amount of deliberation i think i've settled on my top 5 singles - the albums are still in process. it goes something like this:

5)The New Pornographers - "My Rights Vs. Yours"
4)Animal Collective - "Fireworks"
3)Arcade Fire - "Intervention"
2)Bright Eyes - "Four Winds"
1)Patrick Wolf - "The Magic Position" (the biggest, gayest, poppiest most heart-breakingest single of the naughties. i say this with a staunch record of heterosexulaity: it's fabulous)

however, i am aware that golden skans and elephant gun by beirut were totally robbed. hmmmm, maybe i'll have to rethink that again.

i'm back in da town now - what's your buzz; re: pints?

Hey man,
Sorry it always takes me an age to reply on Bebo. Yeah there are Five paintings up in cafe/bistro called the Cheese pantry and I have another 6 nearly finished with four more on the way. I haven't a clue how the art world works as yet and apparently it takes a few exhibitions to get going. I also feel I will be better in about a year in terms of art development and all that stuff. how are you these days?

Wurd. I'm working in Fastnet Films these days, doing development and production. How's Frontier?

I'm not Patrick Bateman, that's mad, he's a murderer. Where do you live?
